Saskatoon Co-op Ratifies
The members from the Saskatoon Cooperative Ltd. ratified their new 4 year collective agreement on May 1, 2013. The Saskatoon Coop employs approximately 1,000 employees with plans to expand throughout the city in the future.

Benefits Increased
All members enrolled in the Sask. UFCW Dental Benefit Plan can now benefit from an increase in the yearly maximum claim from $1800 to $2000. As well, Westfair (part-time) employees have had benefit increases for sick time, prescription drug coverage, and NEW Ambulance and Paramedical services. The UFCW Guide to Bargaining for Work-Family Issues has just been released.The guide was developed by the National Council Women’s Advisory Committee to help UFCW Canada activists and negotiating committee members strengthen the family friendly language in their collective bargaining agreements — to gain additional protections needed for a healthy work and life balance, and strong contract language that prioritizes the needs of modern workers and family providers.
