FirstSask Credit Union and Affinity Credit Union Merger
December 15, 2007 - In preparation for the merger between FirstSask Credit Union and Affinity Credit Union, set to be finalized on January 1, 2008, UFCW Local 1400 President Paul Meinema and Secretary Treasurer Norm Neault visited each branch, held a series of informational meetings, and a vote was conducted from December 10th to 14th, 2007.

We are pleased to announce that the Affinity Credit Union employees have voted yes to be represented by the United Food and Commercial Workers, Local 1400.

Thank you to all of you for your informative questions, attendance at the informational meetings and most importantly, your time spent considering joining the union.

The best way to ensure job security, job posting procedures, employer paid benefits, regular pay increases, a grievance and arbitration procedure and most importantly, a “voice” in your workplace, is to vote yes to UFCW Local 1400.
