From Negotiations report July, 2007 - UPDATE

Congratulations to the members of this unit who voted to accept a contract extension on July 18, 2007. The successful ratification of this Agreement benefits the employees by preventing the necessity of a Labour Relations Board hearing on whether or not the union has successorship rights to represent our members at this location. This site was formerly held by United Protection Services.

 

Highlights of the 19 month Collective Agreement extension include:

• Wage increases of more than 12.5% over the term of the Agreement.

• Increases to the Dental Plan contributions, ensuring that these members are able to continue to receive this benefit.

Congratulations to the members of this unit on this good settlement which ensures stability and continued benefits for their workplace.

On July 18, 2007, the members of Local 1400 employed by Avion Security ratified their new Collective Bargaining Agreement. Further details of the settlement will be posted once available.
