From Negotiations Report March, 2008
This unit started their negotiations on March 11 and 12, 2008, with a number of smaller issues being agreed upon. The overall tone of these first days seemed reasonable, however, the employer has proposed additional exclusions from the bargaining unit and language that would weaken the training provisions in the Agreement; items that are not at all satisfactory to the committee. Further meetings are set for May 22 and 23, 2008.

This Agreement will expire within the next few months. Members will receive requests for, and submit their bargaining proposals; a meeting will also be held to select Negotiation Committee members.
