Members at this unit ratified their Collective Agreement on April 10, 2006.  Highlights of the new three year Agreement include:

• Wage increases in each year of the Agreement;

• Improvements to Agreement provisions regarding footwear, Lead Hand pay, Lab Tech pay, Pension (CCWIPP) and Education Fund contributions;

• Improvements to Bereavement Leave provisions with the addition of step siblings and step children formally recognized; and

• A letter of understanding regarding pay bonuses per hectolitre for full time temporary employees.

 

Congratulations to these members on their settlement.  The Negotiating Committee consisted of members Geno Ludba, Martin Altwasser, Wayne Wenc and Cliff Hamilton, with Gerry Grenier filling in during Wayne’s illness.  They were assisted by President Paul Meinema.
