This unit was certified in April 2007 and bargaining commenced in June and July 2007 with some very small issues being agreed upon. The parties met again making slow progress for two sets of dates in late fall of 2007 with the assistance of a conciliation officer from the Labour Relations and Mediation Branch of the Department of Labour.

The union then applied for First Agreement arbitration assistance and a Board Agent was appointed to assist with these negotiations. The first meetings with the Agent took place on February 7 and 8, 2008, and further dates are set for April 17 and 18, 2008.

Bargaining commenced with this employer in June, however, with only some very small issues being agreed upon after a number of meetings, the assistance of a Conciliation Officer from the Labour Relations and Mediation Branch of the Department of Labour was requested. One date was held with the assistance of the Conciliation Officer in September, further dates will be held at the end of November 2007.
